The original X-H1 is overdue for an upgrade after being released in February 2018 and it looks like one is coming next year. Rumours about the Fujifilm X-H2 has been around for quite some time now and in September it was suggested the new model will have a 40MP APS-C sensor. This would make it the highest resolution camera from the Fujifilm X-series.

A trusted source has revealed that the company is planning to release two different X-H2 cameras with different sensors. There was no specific details about what the sensors are but according to other sources, at least one of them will be a 40 megapixel sensor.
Official news about the Fujifilm X-H2 is not expected until 2022 so it’s uncertain how correct the rumours are about the sensors. Manufacturer Fujifilm will be announcing the camera when the shipping date gets closer.
