Previous rumours have claimed that some Leica products will be increasing in price and it looks like this has been unofficially confirmed by retailers. The Leica dedicated fan website Leica Rumours (https://leicarumors.com/2022/06/13/leica-europe-price-increase-confirmed-for-july-1st.aspx/) has learned that various retailers have already received the new price list for different products.
According to the website, these products are ‘confirmed’ to be getting a price hike:
- M11 Camera model
- APO-Summictron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH lens
- Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH lens
- Summilux-M 90mm f/1.5 ASPH lens
However, most products are expected to be included in the latest price increase. It’s also thought that this increase will be coming to other regions in the future as well. The UK and Japan received a price increase in May while the US received one in March and also October last year.
Leica has not officially confirmed yet that there will be price increases for Europe and what countries will be affected by this.
