Nikon Z30 Overheating Issues?

Your Nikon Z30 might Overheat with 4K Video Recording

There’s been a few reports from Nikon Z30 owners that the recently release camera is overheating while using it to record video with 4K resolution. Nikon knows that it might overheat which is why they’ve built in a fail safe which is outlined in the user manual.

As stated in the Nikon Z30 user manual (https://download.nikonimglib.com/archive5/fB99X00NPbjk05IZOpb49Dh6jx64/Z30RG_(En)03.pdf), the camera does have a built in recording time limit. This has most likely been added as a feature to protect the camera from any potential overheating damage. It doesn’t just apply to 4K video recording either. There’s a recording time limit for all frame size/frame rate combinations the camera allows for.

The recently released Nikon Z30 mirrorless camera released this year in July so users are still getting to grips with the new device. It’s worth remembering that this camera has a time limit in place for video recording.
